HA10 - Task 2

I think Modern Warfare 2 is overall a positive game for many people to play. Although Modern Warfare 2 has plenty of violence and some swearing in the game is non realistic which means the game is fake and just simulating what would happen in this time of a war. While playing, the game educates the player on showing what happens behind the scenes of what a war is like and to show the player what happens when there is an attack in a public place. With the game showing what war is like it has also shown people what happens when and before they apply to join the army. Although all events in the game are simulated it shows what happens when something  huge like an attack happens and also shows how much people are willing to go in order to stop the attackers. The game can also release the players emotional side for example if  your angry and you want to vent, you can take your anger out on the single player or multiplayer and kill people allowing you to vent in a simulation instead of doing something more dangerous allowing to hurt yourself like punching a wall or physically hurting someone else like a family member

With the game having a multiplayer mode this enables the player to play with up to 16 other players from around the world in a bunch of game modes like team deathmatch and free for all. The multiplayer mode also gives the player a rank while they play. If the player gets to its maximum rank which is 50 they can then do something which is prestige. Ranking up allows the players to compete against friends on who can be the top rank first. Doing this can make the player addicted as they can spend a numerous amount of days without doing anything else.

Many parents of gamers tend to argue on why games in these years are full priced at £50. With a game like Modern Warfare 2 offers 3 game modes (solo, multiplayer and spec ops), I would say that the game does deserve to have a £50 price tag to its name with solo and multiplayer being £20 each and spec ops being £10. Modern Warfare 2 also has a season pass which enables the player to play on all upcoming maps that get released which costs an extra £50
